Great place for pastries and bread. If you go on the weekend expect a line but it's worth the wait.

Amazing spot with great bread, pastries and coffee. They also mill their own flour and use local beans from counter culture. A litttttle too buzzing to work, but perfect for sending emails and a friend catch up.

Get in here and carbo load! All kinds of treats, we tried the sweet potato bread, the plain croissants, and a loaf of bread. Everything was as good as the reviews said it was! Delicious!!

Don't let the line intimidate you, it moves very quickly! We came at peak breakfast hour on a Sunday morning and even though the line was out the door, it only took us about 15-20 minutes to get in to order. I'm a savory breakfast and croissant fan so I went for the Everything croissant, French Onion croissant and the Ham and Cheese. The employees are also incredibly friendly! Needless to say, everything was FANTASTIC. In my opinion, they make the best croissants in the Triangle. Fluffy, airy, buttery, flaky, all the good things. The Everything was sensational, stuffed with an herb cream cheese mixture that is to die for. The ham and cheese is a classic and was my favorite, I wish I had gotten another. The french onion was umami goodness. One of my new favorite bakeries in the area and I'm happy to make the 30+ minute drive from Durham every time.

The most amazing rye bread. Even in Austria this would stand tall. Excellent pastries, flawless customer service and the finest bread. Bravo to Boulted Bread. Thank you for being here.

Met my sweet friend for coffee and ended in a wonderful conversation with strangers. This was my first time at the new location, conveniently located in the Boylan neighborhood, the parking is precarious with tight parking on a gravel lot but very close by. My friend suggested lattes and croissants and both were very delicious. There weren't a ton of tables so we waited a bit and noticed others waiting so we ended up sharing a table which was quite wonderful meeting new friends. Such a great community spot for coffee and maybe a place to work remotely.

No need to travel to France, Boulted Bread has the best croissants you will find and a wide variety of flavors. I was incredibly surprised by how great the croissants tasted. Each one was light and had a very delicate texture. The flavors that we tried all tasted incredible, most notably the everything croissant. Their wide selection of both sweet and savory ensures that whatever you are craving, there will be a croissant for it. Overall fantastic experience, will definitely be back for more.

Absolutely loved the croissant here! The croissant had the layers and was crisp to perfection! Eating it fresh was delicious and even saving some for later it was still crispy! I went to a few bakeries while visiting and this is made the biggest impression! I would definitely recommend this bakery!

Boulted remains perfect. Returned at 10:07 AM on a Sunday and the line was out the door, but it moved fast and we had everything in hand by 10:23: + Morning bun + Ham and cheese croissant + Rhubarb jam pinwheel + Quiche + Brownie + Iced coffee + Blueberry crumble pie + Oatmeal cookie + Chocolate chip cookie + Special loaf (whole wheat levain) Standouts this time were the ham and cheese croissant, rhubarb jam pinwheel, morning bun, brownie, oatmeal cookie and iced coffee (they brew Counter Culture). Quiche and blueberry crumble pie were also fantastic. The bread was good, but I'd try a different kind next time. 5 stars forever.
